- Accumulator
- A single bet that links multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- AML
- Anti-Money Laundering; rules that require the sportsbook to detect and report suspicious financial activity.
- Asian Handicap
- A point spread that gives a team a half‑ or quarter‑goal advantage or disadvantage to remove the draw option.
- Bankroll
- The total amount of money a bettor sets aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- An online tool that lets you combine different markets from the same match into one custom wager.
- Cash Out
- The option to settle a bet early for a reduced payout before the event finishes.
- Cashback
- A promotion that returns a percentage of a player's net losses over a specific timeframe.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes (home win or draw, away win or draw, or either team to win).
- Draw No Bet
- A market where you pick a team to win; if the match ends in a draw, the stake is refunded.
- Edge
- An advantage when the odds offered are better than the true probability of the outcome.
- Fixed Odds
- The payout odds set at the time of the bet, which do not change even if the line moves later.
- Handicapping
- The process of analyzing team form, statistics, and other factors to estimate the likely outcome of a match.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match after it has started, with odds that update as the game progresses.
- Juice
- The commission the sportsbook charges, built into the odds; also called vigorish.
- Kelly Criterion
- A formula used to calculate the optimal size of a bet based on the perceived edge and odds.
- KYC
- Know Your Customer; the process a sportsbook uses to verify a user's identity before allowing betting.
- Odds
- The numerical representation of how likely an outcome is, also indicating the potential payout.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether a specific statistic, such as total goals, will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Parlay
- A bet that combines two or more selections; all must win for a payout, offering higher odds than single bets.
- Provably Fair
- A system that uses cryptography so players can verify that each bet's outcome was not manipulated.
- RTP
- Return to Player; the theoretical percentage of total money wagered that a game will pay back to players over time.
- Self-Exclusion
- A self‑imposed block that prevents a user from betting on the platform for a set period or permanently.
- Stake
- The amount of money wagered on a single bet.
- Value Bet
- A wager where the odds appear higher than the actual likelihood, offering a positive expected return over time.
- Volatility
- A measure of how unpredictable a game's payouts are; high volatility means bigger wins but less frequent.
